Hello!

I’m Jocelyn, the founder of Counting Clouds Sleep, I support families who are feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure how to improve their child’s sleep in a way that feels right for them. Sleep can feel confusing and emotionally loaded, especially when advice is conflicting or doesn’t align with your parenting values. My role is to bring clarity, reassurance and personalised guidance, so you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Why I do this work:

After graduating in psychology, I built my career as an international merchandiser, working with global fashion brands. I thrived on the analytical side - spotting patterns, predicting trends, and understanding consumer behaviour. As the years went by, I felt a growing pull back to psychology and a desire to focus on work that would leave a meaningful, lasting impact.

The fast-paced nature of my job also prompted deeper reflections on time, how we experience it, and, crucially, how sleep shapes our emotions, relationships and overall wellbeing. I became increasingly aware of how often parents feel exhausted, overwhelmed or unsure, and how easily they can feel judged or pressured when seeking help with their child’s sleep.

Determined to turn my passion into something practical, I trained with the internationally recognised Holistic Sleep Coaching Programme at BabyEm (OCN Level 6). Now, I work with families to navigate sleep challenges with gentle, research-based strategies rooted in developmental psychology and neurobiology. My goal is to take the stress out of sleep, empowering parents to feel confident and supported - so they can focus on what truly matters, knowing they and their children have the tools they need to thrive.

The Counting Clouds Sleep Approach

There is no one “correct” way to support a child’s sleep. Every family, child and situation is different.

  • We’re all about making big changes with little ones in the gentlest way possible, because we believe well-rested kids - and well-rested parents - thrive best in a secure, loving environment. No harsh tactics, no boot camps - just responsive, attachment-focused strategies that build trust, nurture emotional well-being, and create solid sleep habits.

  • Parenting is hard enough without judgment. We’re here to cheer you on, not guilt-trip you. No pressure, no rigid routines, no one-size-fits-all plans.

  • Cut through the noise with evidence-based sleep support, grounded in developmental psychology and current research. No fluff, no fear-mongering, just straightforward advice to help you rest easy (literally).

  • Shaped around your specific goals, child’s temperament, age and needs.

I do not use cry-it-out methods or expect families to ignore their instincts. Instead, we work together to build sustainable sleep habits in a way that feels manageable, respectful and realistic for your family.

My background and training:

I hold a degree in Psychology and have completed specialist, degree-equivalent training in infant and child sleep (OCN Level 6). I continue to develop my knowledge through ongoing professional development, including regular attendance at conferences hosted by the British Sleep Society and the Royal Society of Medicine, alongside evidence-led practice.

What it’s like to work together:

When we work together, you can expect:

  • Clear, practical guidance without overwhelm

  • Space to ask questions and voice concerns

  • Support that adapts as your child grows and changes

  • Reassurance that you are doing your best
